Simple Arithmetic: A Police Officer is More Likely to Kill You Than a Black Person

If there are around 77,400,000 African Americans (going by the “one drop” rule, and maybe under 8 million who are “just African”), and 1,100,000 police officers, and each group kills roughly the same number of European Amercians per year, then who is more likely to kill you?

I’ll make it even more relevant…police make over 17,000,000 traffic stops and checkpoint stops, per year, and accost many, many more walking citizens.  There are less than 500,000 armed robberies per year in the U.S. committed by people of any color…and for mild initial verbal resistance, you are more likely to be severely injured or killed by a police officer than an armed robber (though in either case, I would recommend compliance if you are not sure that you can defend yourself effectively).

Though police do kill African Americans disproportionately, numerically, they kill more European Americans even though they accost and stop African Americans disproportionately (though not numerically more often).  So they are gunning for African Americans and yet still kill substantially more European Americans…and since they are a dramatically smaller group than either, this is saying something.

If you are a generally law abiding European American, not involved in any gangs or higher level criminal activity than smoking a little weed, and more afraid of African Americans than you are of the police, you’re a dumbass.

The African American working next to your cubicle who asks you a question you don’t know the answer to, is very unlikely to then beat your ass, handcuff you, and taze you a few times until you give him a satisfactory answer.
