Heheheh…Nothing against the tall part. More tall women are a kind of saving grace sign that maybe things aren’t completely messed up for everyone. Bone density becomes a problem if people are consistently selecting for frailty.

I’m not sure if it’s actually unfortunate that I was teased in high school. It gave me a jump start into the truth about human nature and “normal”. I think if I hadn’t been through that experience, then when the knowledge really mattered, I’d have made different decisions.

In ’96 when I was diagnosed hypothyroid, I might have listened to the doctors instead of my grandmother, and taken the synthroid and/or amphetamines. I’d be skinny, but probably dead of a heart attack, and still stockpiling unsaturated fats in my liver.

So I picked the option that, at the time, meant that I’d be fat but healthier overall. I’ve seen others who are mildly hypothyroid or barely borderline, use synthroid and speed in place of lifestyle changes. Even the ones who seem healthy are sadly socially dependent in a way that I’m glad I was never even remotely tempted to be.

I’m not sure the average person just wants to live peacefully. I think they want to live comfortably, but peace is relative to their comfort. They want to be able to get rid of anyone who threatens their comfort, and are perfectly happy to have comfort at the expense of someone else’s peace.

It’s a reason there’s still slavery, and not all workers are paid a living wage.
