I am not sure how they can actually keep this promise. If a broom can be used to hit someone and a television or phone to spy on someone, saying the companies wouldn’t build them as weapons wouldn’t stop them from being weaponized.
Not to mention, the day I can get smart-legs, I as the wearer and controller, could use them for defensive/tactical purposes. Nobody needs to build them as weapons for me to use them as such if needed to defend myself or others.
This sounds like unnecessary reassurance that would only work on sheltered conservatives who worship the wealthy.
