The women, for a few generations after a genocide or ethno specific time of extreme oppression, may become misandrist as a collective vengeance against the men who could not protect them from the monsters.
The men, who failed to protect them are classed as weak, in collusion with their oppressors, the oppressors themselves, useless fools who walked them into a trap, or just plain evil. The anger for the way they were tortured has to go somewhere, and even if they appear to be otherwise healthy and productive, they will take that out on their husbands and sons who were mere children or weren’t even born at the time of the genocide or oppression.
There will be a demand for the men to compensate the women for what they suffered, and whatever they do will never be enough. The sons will be expected to correct the mistakes of the past, and be unlike their “useless” fathers.
The men, for a few generations after a genocide or ethno specific time of extreme oppression, may become self hating and idealizing of weakness. Their aggression, when expressed (and it will be expressed some way or another due to human nature), may mimic their former oppressors because they have not had time to form their own idea of constructive, defensive violence.
Even though men were made for violence, and this receives a good purpose as protectors and defenders of their people, since too much violence was used against them, violence itself becomes wrong or bad. However, it is necessary, so it becomes regarded as a necessary evil, but still evil. So warriors are mistreated or placed at a lower level of regard than they naturally deserve. So they hate that which is manly in themselves. They hate needing that…and women hate needing them.

There will be a higher incidence of narcissism and sub clinical narcissistic behavior among such people. There is a disconnect between behavior and consequences of behavior. Impulse control will suffer, and everything but one’s self and one’s failure to check one’s motives and measure one’s behavior against Nature, will be blamed.
What is horrid but expedient if one takes intelligence and accountability out of the equation, becomes understandable, and then laudable. Women can then justify their horrible treatment of the men in their society, and men can justify their horrible treatment of women, and by the same, both can justify being treated horribly themselves.
This is why middle and upper class Israelis behave towards each other the same way as, or worse than, African Americans in the ghetto. Anger will go somewhere, and every generation that it remains unresolved is crystalized and compounded in the children.
First, it becomes unsustainable, and then it self destructs.
